Some tips about photographing oils... ...Very nice! Some tips about photographing oils... Don't use a flash. If possible, go outside on an overcast day and turn the picture so it gets a minimum of sun reflection. I'm sure photographers have better suggestions, but this usually works for me. Also, if the painting is small enough to scan (and the paint is dry!)
